Youth Leadership Challenge

YLC Camp participate in ropes course

Mt. Wheeler Power is now accepting nominations for the Youth Leadership Challenge, an all-expenses-paid leadership camp for high school juniors taking place July 6–10, 2026, at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.

Each year, Mt. Wheeler Power sponsors students from our service territory to attend this program. The Youth Leadership Challenge is designed for students who demonstrate leadership qualities and are ready to grow, refine their skills, and represent their community and cooperative.

We are seeking students who are actively involved in their school or community, comfortable participating in group discussions and teamwork and are reliable, engaged, and confident in collaborative settings

Students will receive instruction from experienced professionals in leadership, communication, teamwork, and skills development. Outstanding participants may be considered for scholarships, national recognition, and future leadership opportunities, including returning as a camp director and a trip to Washington DC

To make the process easy, the nomination form is brief and can be completed in just a few minutes. Please note nominations should only be submitted after discussing the opportunity with the student. Students must be aware, willing, and excited to attend if selected

The nomination deadline is March 30, 2026.
